As reported by “NBN” with a link According to Reuters, the satellites are called Kowsar and Hodhod, and appear to have dual, non-civilian purposes.

In particular, Kowsar is designed to take high-resolution images of terrain (can be used for reconnaissance), while the development of the Hodhod communications satellite will allegedly strengthen Iran's “private space sector.”

Kowsar is expected to be used in agriculture, monitoring environmental changes, and tracking disaster relief efforts, while Hodhod will expand the range of satellite communications, primarily in remote regions with limited access to ground networks.

It should be noted that the launch of the satellites was originally planned for the end of 2023, but was postponed due to multiple problems with the launch vehicles.

Earlier, we wrote about Biden ordering Trump's security to be strengthened due to two assassination attempts and threats from Iran.
