Western media reports that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is disrupting EU aid to Ukraine in order to help Donald Trump.

The American publication Politico writes that the Hungarian Prime Minister refuses to approve the extension of sanctions against the aggressor country, which complicates the allocation of a $50 billion loan Ukraine from the US, EU and G7 at the expense of frozen assets of the Russian Federation.
Orban prevents the West from supporting Kyiv in order to help US presidential candidate Donald Trump, NBN reports.
Journalists write that Washington asked the European Union to extend anti-Russian sanctions for up to 36 months, but the representative of Budapest refuses this step. According to an anonymous European diplomat, if the EU does not fulfill the US request, it will cost the organization and, in particular, Hungary a lot of money.
However, for the Hungarian Prime Minister, this is a small price to pay to acquire the goodwill of the Republican, who promised that after returning to the White House he “will not give Ukraine a cent.”
If Washington and Brussels sign an agreement to provide Ukraine with a new loan of 35 billion euros, the new American president will be obliged to service it for years. However, if the United States refuses to participate in the loan, Trump will be released from such an obligation.
Recall that last week Orban accused the leadership of the European Commission of allegedly wanting to overthrow the Hungarian government.
