Sources in Ukrainian intelligence said that 18 North Korean fighters deserted from their positions on the border of the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The incident in the ranks of the occupation army occurred 7 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The journalists' interlocutor noted that the motives of the DPRK servicemen who arbitrarily left their positions have not been established. At the same time, the Russian invaders have begun searching for the fugitives and are trying to hide this incident from the high command of Putin's army.

Earlier, the publication reported that the Russians are forming a “special Buryat battalion” on the basis of the 11th separate airborne assault brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, the estimated number of personnel of which is up to 3,000 fighters.

The armed formation is staffed by citizens of North Korea. Now the command of the occupation army is engaged in providing the new unit with weapons and ammunition. The Russian military leadership may use North Korean troops to carry out combat missions near Kursk and Sudzhi.

At the same time, the American publication The Washington Post reported that the Russians may send North Korean soldiers to the front in Ukraine.
