As reported by NBN, citing information and photographs posted on the official Telegram channel of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, a drug cartel was recently exposed in Ukraine, the participants of which produced and sold psychotropic substances through public pages in the messenger.

According to Klimenko, after conducting about 230 searches in 20 regions of Ukraine, law enforcement officers managed to detain 60 criminals involved in drug trafficking.

In particular, the National Police officers found and liquidated 19 drug laboratories that produced at least 1 ton of amphetamine and Alpha-PVP (“salt”) per month. At the same time, the income of this network of criminals reached more than 350 million hryvnias per month.

The head of the law enforcement agency summarized:

This is what the fight against illegal drug trafficking should be: systemic and, first and foremost, aimed at those who provide the supply [to addicts].
