The State Border Service constantly records attempts by military personnel to evade mobilization and illegally cross the border, but some defenders are not eager to return to a country at war.

As reported by “NBN”, with reference to the material of “Slidstvo.Info”, the Main Directorate of the Military Service and the Deputy General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided data on the number of military personnel who went abroad on vacation, but did not return to Ukraine.
Representatives of the Main Directorate of the Military Service claim that general grounds are sufficient for military personnel to cross the border, while authorized officials are responsible for issuing passes to leave the country. Also, the military is not affected by any time limits on the duration of leave, and permission from the commander of the military unit regarding departure to another country is sufficient to cross the border.
Judging by everything, it is precisely this simplified departure scheme that explains the fact that, as of the end of September, “46 cases were taken into account when military personnel did not return [back] to Ukraine after vacationing abroad,” ultimately receiving the status of persons who voluntarily left military units.
