In an interview with the British publication Financial Times, the Ukrainian leader recalled that the integration of our country into the North Atlantic Alliance is the first of the five points of his victory plan.
According to Zelensky, this step plays a decisive role in forcing the Kremlin dictator to negotiate, NBN reports.
The president explained that Ukraine cannot be very strong without receiving an invitation to NATO, since it will strengthen its diplomatic path to ending the war.
The guarantor added that the hostilities will end only when the Russian leader is isolated and pushed towards diplomacy, recalling that “Putin understands only force.” In addition, as the head of state noted, if Ukraine does not receive an invitation to the Alliance, the morale of the military and civilian population of our country will fall.
Zelensky said that the partners responded to the victory plan, as they once did to requests to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Patriot air defense systems and F-16 fighters. However, Kiev's proposals must be implemented, since this is the only way Ukraine can survive.
