As reported by “NBN” with a link to the official Axiom Space page, this space company, with the participation of the fashion house Prada, showed the design of the innovative AxEMU spacesuit at the Milan International Astrocongress.

This type of protection, as is already clear, was developed for the participants of the landing on the Moon, planned for 2026. The shell of this spacesuit, made of white-gray thermal insulation material, should protect the astronauts from extreme temperature changes in different parts of the satellite, and will also prevent the penetration of lunar dust.

In addition, AxEMU has advanced technological developments built in, allowing for a comfortable stay in open space for up to 8 hours, since the spacesuit has an improved diagnostic system, modern filters for cleaning oxygen from carbon dioxide and a helmet with an extended viewing angle.

At the same time, the developers of Axiom Space have already managed to conduct many tests of AxEMU, including under the thickness of water, to ensure the reliability and versatility of the spacesuit.
