During a meeting with the Kremlin dictator, the Indian Prime Minister said that he regularly is in contact with the Russian leader regarding the “ongoing conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” NBN reports, citing the RIA Novosti propaganda agency.
The politician said that New Delhi believes that such “conflicts” must be resolved peacefully. Modi noted that his country fully supports the “speedy restoration of peace and stability.”
The head of the Indian government said that his country is ready to help resolve the “conflict” between Kiev and Moscow.
It should be noted that after the start of the full-scale war, India did not take a tough stance regarding the Russian invasion, continuing to develop relations with the two countries. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky sharply criticized Modi's visit to Moscow and embrace with the head of the Kremlin during the Russian Armed Forces' attack on the Okhmatdet children's hospital.
Recall that last month, the Russian leader named countries that could become mediators in peace talks with Ukraine. In particular, Putin said that India could play such a role.
