A Pyongyang representative, during a meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly on Disarmament and International Security, denied information about that the North Korean authorities sent their troops to Russia to participate in the war against Ukraine.

He called such statements “baseless rumors,” the NBN publication reports, citing the Yonhap agency.

Ukraine's special representative to the UN reported that the DPRK intends to send 11,000 of its troops to the combat zone to help Putin's occupation army.

In response to this, the representative of Pyongyang stated that the purpose of such “baseless stereotypical rumors” is to tarnish the image of his country and undermine the legitimate, partnership and friendly relations between the two countries.

Recall that earlier the Kremlin responded to reports about the transfer of DPRK soldiers to the territory of the terrorist state. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov called for no concern over Russia's cooperation with the DPRK.
