On the night of October 27, our country will switch to winter time, after which there will be no change to summer time, according to the bill adopted by the Verkhovna Rada №4201, reports “NBN”.
However, as the publication “BBC News Ukraine” stated, citing two sources in the OPU, the head of state has not yet signed the relevant document and does not intend to do so in the future.
Journalists recalled that on July 16, MPs voted in the second reading for the bill “On the calculation of time in Ukraine”, on August 21, the document was signed by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk and sent to the president for signature.
The draft law states that on the last Sunday of this month, our country will switch to winter time, after which there will be no more switching to summer time. However, the document will allegedly never come into force, since the guarantor will not sign it.
The source explained that the president made the corresponding decision after seeing the downsides for the Ukrainian economy – calculations showed losses of several billion. The president also took into account the petitions submitted by citizens.
Earlier, the media reported that Zelensky ordered the preparation of another plan for the duration of the war. The OPU commented on the journalists' materials.
