A Defense Express representative said that the defenders will likely have to leave Selydove in the Donetsk region, where there is currently only one supply line that is being fired upon by the invaders' firepower, there is risks of flank attacks on it, the NBN publication reports.
Zgurets explained on the Espresso TV channel that military action in the populated area is not beneficial to the Ukrainian military, where the loss ratio is 1:1 and this is unacceptable for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The military expert noted that, given the situation, the question is how the soldiers should leave the populated area.
In his opinion, the military should assess the risks and take into account the experience of Ugledar, so as not to have to make a decision to leave the city at the last moment under pressure from artillery fire from the Russian occupation forces.
