Syrsky responded to Putin's statement about the encirclement of defenders in the Kursk region

The head of the Kremlin said at a press conference at the BRICS summit in Kazan on October 24 that the occupation forces in the border region of the Russian Federation, they allegedly surrounded and blocked about 2,000 defenders and began to eliminate the Ukrainian military.

According to the dictator, the Defense Forces in the Kursk region lost more than 26,000 fighters, NBN reports.

The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to the statements of the Russian leader. Syrsky wrote in his Telegram channel that Putin's statements are outright disinformation. The military leader noted that the defenders in the border region of the Russian Federation continue active operations and have been destroying the combat potential of the army of the aggressor country for the third month.

The general reported that from August 8 to the present day, the Russian occupation forces in the Kursk region have lost 6,662 invaders killed and 10,446 wounded. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured 711 “liberators” in this section of the front.

Also in the border area, Putin's army lost 45 tanks, 256 armored fighting vehicles, 5 MLRS, 99 artillery units and 565 vehicles.
