The US Department of Justice responded to Musk's promise to pay $1 million for signing his petition

As NBN reports, citing CNN sources, representatives of the Public Integrity Division of the US Department of Justice warned Trump billionaire Elon Musk's America PAC committee that the businessman's intentions regarding the transfer of $1 million for promoting the above-described petition openly violate federal law.

In particular, US federal law directly prohibits financially “motivating” people to register to participate in the electoral process. In order to sign Musk's petition, US citizens must register to vote in a number of states, according to local laws.

It should be noted that America PAC pays $1 million to people, whose names are randomly selected, from the list of “signatories” of this controversial petition, which indirectly supports the election campaign of conservative Republican Donald Trump.

Earlier, our information portal wrote that Trump's headquarters stated that the UK Labour Party is interfering in the US presidential election.
