As NBN reports with reference to Reuters material, the Chinese authorities have promised to take measures against the United States in response to the above-described, so far only potential deliveries arms sales to China.

As it became known, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that it strongly condemns and opposes the sale of arms to Taipei, and also called on the United States to immediately stop arming Taiwan and refrain from unsafe actions that could “undermine” peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.

In addition, Beijing representatives added that the PRC is ready to take decisive and necessary countermeasures that will ensure reliable protection of national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity within the framework of the “one China” concept.

It should be recalled that over the past 5 years, China has intensified its activities off the coast of Taiwan, for example, by organizing another round of military exercises in early October with the participation of the Russian fleet.
