In an interview with the English-language publication in India The Times of India, the Ukrainian leader said that Narendra Modi could influence the end of the war in our country, NBN reports.
The guarantor noted that Modi is the head of government of a huge state in terms of population, economy and influence. In his opinion, India cannot simply say that it is interested in ending the hostilities in Ukraine, given its value in the armed conflict.
The president explained that the Russian Federation's ability to conduct military operations would be reduced by blocking the economy of the terrorist state, its military-industrial complex and cheap energy resources.
The head of state is convinced that, in addition, the Indian authorities could organize negotiations between Kiev and Moscow, while the dialogue should be agreed upon in accordance with the format of the Ukrainian side.
The president also has no doubt that India is capable of helping to return the children deported to the Russian Federation. Zelensky added that the prime minister could demand that the Kremlin dictator return 1,000 young Ukrainian citizens to their homeland.
Recall that last week, Modi met with Putin, talking about a “peaceful settlement of the conflict” in Ukraine.
