During a briefing, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization confirmed that the DPRK military personnel are involved in the Russian war against Ukraine. North Korean soldiers have been transferred to the Kursk region, NBN reports.

According to him, Pyongyang sent its fighters to the Russian Federation, and Moscow sent them to the border region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting an operation. Rutte emphasized that such a step by the DPRK authorities underlines North Korea's long-term participation in supporting the armed aggression of the Russians and is an escalation.

The NATO Secretary General said that Pyongyang and Moscow violated the UN Security Council resolution, calling on them to immediately stop the relevant actions. The politician noted that military cooperation between the Russian Federation and the DPRK poses a threat to global peace and security.

At the same time, the head of the Alliance believes that the deployment of North Korean units on the territory of the aggressor country is evidence of the Kremlin dictator's desperation, given the large-scale losses of Putin's army.

As reported, the South Korean Foreign Ministry responded to the ratification of the defense agreement with the DPRK by the Russian State Duma.
