Ukraine's Permanent Representative, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council, said that the organization's leniency towards Russia has been so stretched out that it is now broken and does not work for anyone.
According to Kyslytsya, Russia's presence has “paralyzed” the UN Security Council, NBN reports.
Diplomat stressed that the aggressor country does not cross the “red lines” of the civilized world, it walks along a “red carpet” woven from weak responses, complacency and unfounded hopes. The Permanent Representative clarified that this is not even a carpet, but a river of blood.
As Kislitsa noted, the Russians will continue to destroy the cornerstones of global security until they are stopped. In addition, against the backdrop of military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang, there are still people who believe that “tying the hands” of Ukraine in protecting itself from nuclear countries will somehow make them more inclined to peace.
The diplomat recalled that the Russian Federation and the DPRK violated at least three UN Security Council resolutions, calling on the organization to impose tough sanctions against these aggressive states.
Recall that the representative of North Korea to the UN rejected accusations that Pyongyang sent its troops to Russia.
