For the first time, KIIS sociologists have recorded a decrease in the number of Ukrainians who are ready to endure the war for as long as necessary. The results of the study, conducted from September 20 to October 3, showed that 63% of citizens intend to bear the burden of military actions in Ukraine for as long as necessary.
6% of respondents admitted that they are ready to endure the war for another year, 4% – for six months, 15% – for several months. 12% of respondents could not answer this question, the NBN publication reports.
Interestingly, in February of this year, 73% of Ukrainians stated that they are ready to endure military actions by Russia for as long as necessary. This indicator has remained virtually unchanged since the start of the full-scale war until September: in May 2022, there were 71% of such respondents, in December 2023 – 73%.
Deputy Head of KIIS Anton Grushetsky, commenting on the results of the sociological study, noted that the majority of residents of our country are determined to fight the enemy as long as necessary, despite growing fatigue and an uncertain future.
As reported, sociologists found out which representatives of the military-political leadership of Ukraine have the highest trust rating of citizens.
