The head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell reported how much artillery ammunition Ukraine received from the European Union.

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy answered in an interview with the publication “European Pravda” whether the organization fulfilled its promise to transfer a million artillery ammunition to Kiev, “NBN” reports.
According to him, According to the EU member states, Ukraine has received 980,000 shells. Borrell noted that it was initially planned to send a million rounds of ammunition by spring, but the organization faced certain challenges. Therefore, the EU will transfer the corresponding amount to Kyiv by the end of the year.
The politician specified that in addition to the main supplies, Ukraine received artillery shells under bilateral agreements with individual EU states, as well as through the Czech initiative.
The High Representative of the European Union said that the organization will continue to help Kyiv with a stable transfer of shells. He added that, having promised Kyiv a million rounds of ammunition by spring, Brussels did not know the real capacity of production, but the EU may soon reach cruising speed.
Recall that Borrell is convincing the South Korean authorities to increase support for Ukraine against the backdrop of sending North Korean troops to the Russian Federation.
