British intelligence writes in its report that Moscow perceived the Russian Black Sea Fleet as a threat to the Russian Federation before the full-scale invasion of Putin's occupation army in Ukraine. The Russian Navy and Black Sea Fleet as integral components of Russia's strategic naval power.

This was reported by the NBN publication with reference to the UK Ministry of Defence page on the X social network (former Twitter).

The department reported that after 1,000 days of full-scale warfare, the aggressor country's military capabilities at sea have been significantly depleted, thanks to the operations of the Ukrainian Defence and Security Forces.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the defenders have damaged or destroyed more than 25% of the Russian Black Sea Fleet's large ships. In particular, the fleet's flagship, the cruiser Moskva, which was considered the advanced air defense platform of the Russians, was sunk.

Ultimately, the occupiers had to move their warships from the temporarily captured Sevastopol to Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Territory.

British intelligence clarified that the Russian Black Sea Fleet is now limited to the eastern part of the Black Sea, but the enemy fleet is still capable of striking Ukrainian territory in support of the ground operations of the Russian occupation forces.

Recall that earlier, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, reported that the invaders' fleet is training to quickly leave the port of Novorossiysk due to fears of drone attacks.
