Military expert explains why it is more important for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to contain the Russian Federation in Kursk region rather than in eastern Ukraine

Over the past 24 hours, the Defense Forces deployed in the Kursk region have repelled 22 enemy assaults, while on the front lines in Ukraine, during the same period, 143 clashes with the occupiers were recorded.

As reported by NBN with reference to the material from Espresso, according to the co-founder/executive director of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation Dmitry Zhmailo, the retention of a bridgehead in Kursk by the defenders of our country will have a colossal impact on the geopolitical situation.

Zhmailo believes that the destruction of the depots of the 67th Missile and Artillery Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in Bryansk, the ammunition from which was intended for the North group of troops, which is trying to “counterattack” in the area of the Ukrainian bridgehead in this Russian region, will help the Ukrainian Armed Forces to counter Putin's army in the Kursk region.

In addition, in order to minimize such “fervor”, several weeks ago Ukraine hit the Tikhoretsk and Toropets depots with kamikaze drones, which allowed the Russian Federation to shift its “deadlines” regarding the breakthrough through the Ukrainian Armed Forces bridgehead in Kursk (October 1-14, February 1).

The military expert summed up:

…Holding our bridgehead in the Kursk region is very important for all geopolitical situations, and even more important than holding our positions in the east of Ukraine, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Earlier, we wrote that Ukraine struck the GRAU arsenal in the Novgorod region and a plant in the Belgorod region areas.
