Sibiga explained the impossibility of a peace agreement with the Russian Federation in exchange for Ukrainian territory

The day before, on November 20, foreign media wrote that Kremlin tyrant Vladimir Putin is not against discussing a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine with US President Donald Trump, but rejects the withdrawal of the “second army of the world” from the occupied territories.

As reported by NBN, citing Voice of America material, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga made a statement: Kyiv will not agree to peace with the Russian Federation if it requires ceding part of Ukraine's territory to the invaders.

Based on Sybiga’s words, the Ukrainian government does not intend to consider any proposals from the Kremlin if they involve a “compromise” that affects the sovereignty or territorial integrity of our country. In particular, Kyiv will not approve any initiatives developed without its participation, first of all, agreements such as “land in exchange for peace.”

The head of the domestic foreign policy department added that the opposite decision would mean that the million-strong population of Ukrainians would remain in the hands of the authorities of a terrorist state, and, accordingly, would be subjected to genocide, torture and repression.

Sybiha emphasized:

…Rewarding the Russian Federation with territorial achievements will not restore peace, but will provoke further aggression. This is appeasement, not peace. Appeasement has never worked in the past, and it won't work now.
