As reported by “NBN”, with a link to the official page of the US Department of Defense, from the Pentagon deputy spokesperson Sabrina Singh, a statement was made – the above-described type of mines provided, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will use exclusively on the territory of Ukraine.
According to Singh, Kyiv assured Washington – the defenders of Ukraine are going to use these mines only within the borders of Ukraine. At the same time, the reason why Ukraine received this type of ammunition from the US is the change in the battlefield situation, “evolving over time”, so the Pentagon revised its approach to supporting our country.
In particular, the direct text of the deputy representative of the Pentagon:
They [the occupiers] are not conducting an offensive with their own mechanized forces [but] are acting with the help of ground forces. Therefore, we believe that these mines and the way they can be used on the battlefield will be useful for Ukraine.
