Shmyhal explained under what conditions the business sector will not be limited in energy supply

After yesterday's massive missile and drone attack by the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian energy system, the country experienced a significant shortage of its own power generation capacity, and, accordingly, hourly power outage schedules were introduced.

As reported by NBN with a link to the official page of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal made a statement – the situation in the energy system has been taken under control, and this structure has retained “integrity”, but work is still ongoing to overcome the consequences of the Russian combined strike.

Based on Shmyhal’s words, Ukraine is now forced to continue importing electricity from the corresponding system of European countries. In addition, the authorities of our country are working intensively with international partners, having managed to attract at least 700 million euros to the Energy Support Fund (Berlin promised to allocate 65 million euros).

Also, a government decision has been approved – shutdown schedules will not be applied to business entities that import or produce about 60 percent of their consumption volume using their own capacities.

Shmyhal explained the above-described resolution:

Thus, we encourage entrepreneurs to strengthen their energy sustainability and the sustainability of the entire energy system of Ukraine.

Earlier we wrote about an expert predicting how many years Ukraine would need to restore its energy system.
