As reported by “NBN” with reference to information published in the official Telegram profile of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the South Korean government, apparently following the meeting with Umerov, has already provided Ukraine with $100 million as part of financing the budget of our state.
Based on Shmyhal's words, the above-described tranche is the first part of budgetary assistance from our South Korean partners, and the funds received will be used to support the social sector of Ukraine (payment of pensions and salaries).
The Prime Minister added that this year, Seoul and Kyiv signed an agreement providing for the allocation of at least $2.1 billion to Ukraine.
Shmyhal summed it up:
I am grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting Ukraine in the conditions of a full-scale war.
Earlier, our information portal wrote that the Japanese authorities intend to expand financial support for Ukraine.
