Zelensky commented on allies' demands to lower the mobilization age in Ukraine

Partners regularly call on Kyiv to lower the age of potential military personnel, and recently the United States hinted that conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine should begin at 18 years of age, in order to intensify the replenishment of the ranks of defenders.

How NBN reports, citing Sky News, that President Volodymyr Zelensky explained why partner states do not have the right to demand that Ukraine revise the age criterion for mobilization.

Based on Zelensky's words, the allies have again begun to discuss increasing mobilization in our country, but the real problem is that instead of equipping the promised 10 brigades, the joint efforts of the US and the EU have in fact equipped only 2.5.

Direct speech by the President of Ukraine:

…I said that you [partners] want someone to die without a weapon. How do you expect me to simply mobilize young guys? They [recruits] don’t know where to go, which brigade, with what weapons.

Zelensky added that if European or American officials have any ideas regarding the age of mobilization in Ukraine, then he intends to “ask our partners to do their job, and we will do ours.”

Earlier, we wrote that the Russian Federation has increased the mobilization of Ukrainians in the occupied Kherson region and in Crimea.
