In an interview with OBOZ.UA, Romanenko said that the head of the Kremlin has two primary goals in war against our country – the complete occupation of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the return of control over the Kursk region, writes “NBN”.
According to the general, on the front in Ukraine, the Russian Federation has concentrated most of its occupation forces in the east. This suggests that the capture of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions remains a priority for the dictator.
In addition, Moscow recently transferred forces from the Kherson and Kharkov directions to the territory of the Russian border region. From various points of view, it is very important for Putin to oust Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region.
Speaking about the plans of the Russian Armed Forces to the south of the country, the former deputy head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that advancing on Zaporozhye from the left to the right bank, forcing the upper bank of the Dnieper are complex operations. Romanenko claims that the invaders do not have the strength to simultaneously carry out all of these tasks.
In the interview, the general also answered whether the occupation forces could suspend their offensive in the winter.
