The illegitimate president of the Republic of Belarus said that he is concerned about the situation on the western borders of his country and in neighboring Ukraine. In this regard, Lukashenko asked the Kremlin dictator to deploy new systems on the territory of his country, in particular, he hopes to receive Oreshnik missile systems from Russia.

According to Putin's ally, the supply of such Russian weapons to Belarus “would calm some minds,” the NBN publication reports with reference to the Belta agency.

In turn, the head of the Kremlin promised that Moscow would fulfill his request, but it would be able to deploy missile systems on the territory of Belarus in the second half of next year. The dictator added that Minsk would independently determine the targets for these weapons.

Recall that on December 6, Putin announced a new agreement with Belarus on security guarantees. The leader of the Russians did not miss the opportunity to threaten to use nuclear weapons again.
