In an interview with the publication “RBK-Ukraine”, the minister said that it is necessary to amend Ukrainian legislation that will allow law enforcement officers to forcibly evacuate young citizens of our country from the combat zone.

According to him, legislative changes are needed to protect the lives of children who are at risk in dangerous regions, NBN reports.

He noted that the evacuation of young Ukrainians cannot be discussed, recalling that not only their parents, but also the state are responsible for them. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that if children remain in the combat zone, the government also takes responsibility for exposing them to danger.

Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the mechanism for the forced evacuation of young citizens at the beginning of last year. The authorities took this step because young Ukrainians cannot ensure their own safety. Parents' refusal to take their children out of the combat zone is considered a threat to their lives.

As reported, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets named the number of children that Ukraine returned from the Russian Federation.
