The media learned why China began to reduce the supply of goods to Russia for the first time in 4 months

Since the beginning of this year, the Russian business sector has increasingly complained about the blocking of payments by banks of “friendly” countries, including China, where, according to summer data, at least 80 percent of transactions “settled.”

As reported by NBN with reference to the material of The Moscow Times, during October 2024, the volume of supplies of Chinese goods to the terrorist state decreased by 10.4 percent, if we take into account the overall annual figure.

A similar decline in exports of products from China to the Russian Federation began in July, against the backdrop of a minimization of overall trade turnover, reaching 145.9 billion yuan (20.14 billion dollars) by November, which is 5 percent less than the month before.

However, for the current year, the volume of Russian-Chinese trade amounted to 222.8 billion dollars, as a result, having actually stopped growing, in contrast to the period from 2022 (growth of 34 percent or 190 billion dollars) to 2023 (growth of plus 26 percent or 240 billion dollars).

According to market analysts, such a “slowdown” in Russian-Chinese trade, judging by everything, was provoked by the above-described problem of settlements between banks.

Earlier, we wrote about Brussels warning Beijing about the “consequences” of drone production for the Russian Federation.
