The Hungarian Prime Minister yesterday offered Kyiv for Christmas establish a ceasefire and carry out a large-scale prisoner exchange with the Russian Federation. However, as Orban reported, the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky refused to implement this idea, the NBN publication reports with reference to Telex.

Commenting on his proposal for a Christmas truce, the representative of Budapest noted that his country's diplomacy “did everything it could.” The politician added that one side apparently rejected his initiative, while the other accepted it.

Orban also announced a “turn” in the West after Trump's inauguration. The head of the Hungarian government said that as soon as the newly elected American president returns to the White House, big changes will begin in the world.

Recall that in an interview with an American publication, Trump criticized Joe Biden's decision to lift restrictions on US weapons strikes on Russian territory.
