One of the most noticeable consequences of air travel is headaches. Neurologists have given a number of recommendations that will help prevent migraines during vacation, the NBN publication reports, citing the American travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

An attack of headache can provoke sensitivity to motion sickness, so it is important to choose a seat on the plane that does not make you dizzy and nauseous. Doctors advise to sit near the wings, where it is not so shaky.

If you do not have the opportunity to choose a seat, it is worth taking motion sickness medicine or a migraine drug before takeoff. While on board, try to relax, since headaches can also often be a consequence of stress.

On travel days, you should reduce your coffee consumption, since caffeine can prolong the feeling of stress. Also, on board you may be tempted to have a couple of glasses – give up this idea.

Alcohol and sugar, which is in cocktails, cause dehydration, which is a common migraine trigger. If you still want to drink alcohol, drink water during the day.

Lack of sleep also increases the likelihood of a headache. Therefore, before the flight, you need to get at least 6-8 hours of good rest at night, so as not to feel exhausted on the plane.

Recall that the flight attendant pointed out the dirtiest places on the plane.
