As reported by NBN with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Defense Forces fighters recently drove out the “second army of peace” in certain sections of the front, thereby regaining lost positions in the southern part of Shcherbinovka (west of Toretsk).

According to geolocation footage published on December 18, Ukrainian troops achieved partial success in the Toretsk direction, but the “liberators” also advanced somewhat to the west of Nelipovka (south of Toretsk). Despite what the Kremlin's mouthpieces claimed, Putin's army had approached the Central mine in Toretsk, ISW analysts found no evidence to support these claims.

In addition to all of the above, the invaders carried out a series of offensive operations in Toretsk itself, as well as to the west and north of the city (in the areas of Shcherbinovka and Dylevka). Based on the words of the spokesperson of the operational-tactical group of forces “Lugansk” Anastasia Bobovnikova, the fighting for the “Central” mine, including the adjacent heights near the waste heaps, is not stopping.
