President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly emphasized that the best guarantee of security for Ukraine is joining NATO, but subject to additional conditions.

As reported by “NBN” with reference to the material of “European Pravda”, President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement: even after Ukraine received an invitation to join the North Atlantic Alliance, Kyiv does not intend to reduce the number of Security and Defense Forces.
Based on Zelensky's words, the best guarantee of security for our country, in addition to sanctions and financial measures, remains membership in this defense bloc, and therefore Kyiv continues to work towards promptly receiving such an invitation. However, even integration into NATO is not enough for Ukraine to strengthen security, since Putin may well “come with war again.”
The guarantor added that, given the above-described scenario, the Ukrainian authorities do not have the right to agree to a reduction in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since only a strong and large army, “the largest in Europe,” can stop Putin’s troops:
As long as we are not in NATO, we are taking risks.
Earlier, we wrote that Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready to produce air defense systems and long-range weapons under Western licenses.
