On December 19, after a meeting of the Council of Europe, Zelensky said that Kyiv would not allow a state that supplies gas to the European Union to receive it from Russia.

The prime minister admitted that he has disagreements with the Ukrainian leader on this issue. The politician threatened that if the head of the neighboring country does not allow gas from the Russian Federation to Slovakia, this will lead to a conflict, and Bratislava will think about retaliatory measures.

He also warned that he will block sanctions against the terrorist state that concern the peaceful nuclear program, since his country depends on the production of electricity from the nucleus. The head of government added that the Slovak nuclear power plants are of Russian origin.

“Whether we like it or not,” the representative of Bratislava stated.

Earlier, Fico’s ally, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, responded to the Ukrainian leader’s criticism of his idea of a “Christmas truce” with the Russian Federation.
