As reported by NBN, citing a Radio Liberty article, the head of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, made a statement: Germany will not stop sending its army to Ukraine until the war with the Russian Federation ends.
Based on Pistorius’ words, not only the complete end of the current war can guarantee the appearance of German soldiers on Ukrainian soil, since a similar issue will probably be raised again in Berlin as the ceasefire/peace approaches, that is, “when it becomes clear what it will look like.” In particular, we are talking about drawing a “demarcation line,” creating a buffer or peacekeeping zone, in which the armed forces will have to ensure peace.
The head of the Ministry of Defense added:
As you can see, there are still too many open questions here.
However, Pistorius added—the decision on this issue will be made in the German parliament (Bundestag), but one thing is already clear:
Germany, as the largest NATO country, in Europe, and the largest economy in the EU, could not remain on the sidelines.
