As NBN reports with reference to sources from Die Welt, On February 24 next year, on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, EU leaders are likely to adopt a new package of sanctions against the terrorist state.
According to sources, this 16th package of sanctions should “clearly signal” to the Kremlin the inadmissibility of war against Ukraine, and also contains countermeasures aimed at certain sectors of the Russian economy that have not been covered by restrictions before.
Brussels also plans to impose sanctions on legal entities, spies and organizations considered propagandists of the Putin regime, that is, directly or indirectly responsible for undermining the territorial integrity of our country or participating in Moscow's disinformation campaigns, if the EU manages to prove the involvement of individuals in carrying out hybrid Russian attacks.
