Last week, Poland scrambled its F-16s to protect the skies above its border, but stopped short of shooting down missiles fired by the terrorist state.

How NBN reports, citing a Voice of America article, that Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz made a statement: his country’s Air Force is ready to shoot down Russian missiles or UAVs over its territory only if they threaten any local region or facilities on the territory of NATO member states.

Based on the words of Kosiniak-Kamysz, aviation will be raised to eliminate Russian targets (both missiles and attack drones) if they can potentially cross the airspace of Poland, Latvia, Romania and neighboring NATO member states.

In particular, Poland has prepared an expanded air defense system that covers, including the Rzeszow airport, which has been handed over to the protection of NATO forces.

In addition, partner forces (Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Norway and other countries) are covering Poland from a local airbase of the North Atlantic Alliance, and, — “if this airspace is violated, the missile or drone will be shot down.”

Earlier, our information portal wrote about how Sikorski threatened to close the remaining Russian consulates in Poland.
