Russian occupiers began using DPRK soldiers in assaults on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front in the Kursk region. However, as LIGA.net writes, citing a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the main threat to the Ukrainian Defense Forces is not the infantry, but North Korean artillery, NBN reports.
According to the journalists' source, we are talking about the M-1989 Koksan self-propelled artillery units. Pyongyang is transporting these self-propelled artillery units so that they will be used not by North Korean fighters, but by Russian invaders. Putin's army needs North Korean soldiers as “cannon fodder”.
The Russians use the self-propelled artillery units transferred by Pyongyang to shell frontline settlements, as well as to carry out strikes on the battlefield.
At the same time, Moscow has armed the North Korean infantry with AK-12 assault rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, and Phoenix ATGMs. According to Ukrainian military intelligence, “special Buryats” are complaining about a shortage of RPG shells.
Recall that the head of the Central Control Center, Andrey Kovalenko, spoke about the assaults of the Russian Armed Forces on the front in the Kursk region using North Korean fighters.
