The American publication Forbes analyzed the drone attack on the occupiers' airfield “Millerovo”, located in the Rostov region of the aggressor country, NBN reports.

Journalists note that strikes on Russian airfields do not always aim to destroy specific buildings or equipment of the invaders. Shelling of air bases forces the Russians to move their forces as far away from the front line as possible.

The media recalled that in 2023, commercial satellites recorded dozens of Su-25 attack aircraft and Su-30 multirole fighters on the territory of the Millerovo airfield.

But already in the fall of 2024, these same satellites captured several Su-25s at the airbase; the occupiers probably evacuated the remaining combat aircraft. Journalists believe that the target of the drone strike on December 23 at an airfield in the Rostov region were attack aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces.

Recall that in the Moscow region, an An-72 aircraft of the Russian Navy exploded at an airfield. The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released the corresponding footage.
