The BBC Russian Service publication writes that over the past year, oil refineries, oil depots and other Russian fuel facilities located in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories and in the Russian Federation were attacked at least 81 times.

Journalists specified that most often, strikes were carried out on oil facilities in the south of the terrorist state, NBN reports.

The article notes that the frequency of attacks on fuel facilities of the aggressor country significantly decreased in the second half of last year, especially in September and October.

The media writes that over the past 12 months, Russian oil refineries have been attacked at least 31 times – some enterprises required lengthy repairs.

Journalists drew attention to the fact that during 2024, the strategy for striking oil infrastructure in the TOT and on the territory of the Russian Federation changed. Previously, the targets of the attacks were oil refineries, but since spring the focus has shifted to facilities that the occupiers use to operate military equipment.

As reported, British intelligence has named the most expensive month of the war for the “second army in the world.”
