During a press conference in Florida, the newly elected American president once again accused the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine by his predecessor Joe Biden. Trump said that Putin was provoked to attack by the prospect of the neighboring country's membership in NATO, the NBN publication reports.
According to him, Ukraine's accession to the Alliance had not been discussed for many years, until Biden said at one point that the country should be given such an opportunity. The Republican said that he “understands the feelings” of the Kremlin dictator regarding the fact that Russia “will have someone right on its doorstep.”
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responded to the statements of the 47th US President, citing the words of the head of the foreign policy department, said on December 5 at the annual meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council in Malta.
Then Sybiga said that the right of our people to exist and to determine their future is not a “security concern” for the Russian Federation.
The minister noted that an aggressive Russia is the biggest security concern for the international community. The Foreign Minister said that Kyiv's allies must raise the price of war for the terrorist state and force the Kremlin to accept a fair peace.
Earlier, the Foreign Minister commented on media reports about the postponement of Keith Kellogg's visit to Kyiv.
