Since the beginning of autumn, Russian occupation forces have been trying to take control of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, but the invaders have only managed to partially take the city “in pincers”.

As NBN reports with reference to the explanation voiced by the head of the Pokrovsk city military administration (GVA) Sergei Dobryak on the air of the telethon on the YouTube channel “TSN”, the “liberators” have already taken up positions several kilometers from the outskirts of this settlement, but have not advanced further, thanks to the effective defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Based on Dobryak's words, the security situation in Pokrovsk is deteriorating daily, in particular, we are talking about about shelling, the intensity and number of which are constantly increasing: the occupiers resort to using the entire “range” of weapons to strike the city, adjacent areas and villages, that is, they actively use FPV drones, artillery, mortars and drop KABs.
The official added – critical infrastructure facilities of Pokrovsk have been almost completely destroyed: there is no heating, power supply, gas and water supply, and only water distribution points and several heating points are operating. At the same time, about 7,000 people were unable to leave the city, but “there are no children, thank God.”
