The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation stated that a significant weakening of the Russian Federation’s economy could affect its ability to conduct military operations in our country. In particular, according to him, it is necessary to reach a critical level in the Russian oil and gas sector, the NBN publication reports with reference to Channel 24.

Kovalenko recalled that Moscow is determined to maintain the combat capability of the Russian Federation during this year, and in general it is betting that it will fight against Ukraine until 2027. If the Russians are unable to produce and transship a certain amount of “black gold”, this will seriously affect the Kremlin's aggressive plans.

The lieutenant noted that the backbone of the Russian economy, bypassing sanctions, is the “shadow fleet” of the terrorist state. Active military and sanctions actions aimed at Russian infrastructure will eliminate its ability to provide for the economy of an aggressive country.

In such a scenario, Moscow will not be able to conduct intensive military operations, but it is unknown whether the Putin regime will refuse to continue the war.

Recall that the head of state Vladimir Zelensky listed the key challenges for our country in the war with the Russian Federation.
