Hatton criticizes Klitschko Jr.'s possible return to boxing

In December 2024, rumors began to circulate that the head of the Saudi Arabian Entertainment Authority, Turki Al ash-Sheikh, allegedly offered to organize a fight between Ukrainian Vladimir Klitschko against Tyson Fury or the winner of the fight Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker.

As reported by “NBN” with reference to the BoxingNews material, the former world champion in two weight categories, Briton Ricky Hatton, spoke about rumors concerning the potential appearance in the ring of the Ukrainian professional heavyweight, 49-year-old Vladimir Klitschko.

Based on Hatton’s words, he is confident in the victory of the “young and hungry” Daniel Dubois, who will be able to defeat both Vladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, and Anthony Joshua, despite the fact that they are amazing fighters.

The Briton added: as a trainer and former champion, he remains committed to the world of boxing, but intends to remind that he has repeatedly encountered moments, “when people I admire were beaten and knocked out.”

Hatton emphasized that Klitschko can pass all the tests and remain in excellent shape, however, if we draw a parallel with the fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, or the performance of Evander Holyfield, then we can conclude that the Ukrainian's decision to return is unlikely to be “good”:

…Wladimir Klitschko's time has already passed, and now he needs to take care of his health.
