As NBN reports with reference to Associated Press informants, Donald Trump revealed his intentions to Republican senators during a closed meeting on Capitol Hill.
According to sources, the top-priority executive orders that Trump will approve will likely not address the issue of continuing support for Ukraine, but rather unresolved issues related to domestic policy—US border security and the deportation of “illegal immigrants.”
In particular, Trump adviser Stephen Miller has already presented Republican senators with a number of measures aimed at strengthening border security with Mexico and expanding immigration control.
Also, the newly elected head of the White House’s allies are preparing a number of executive acts that Trump could quickly sign, practically immediately after the inauguration, January 20, and we are talking about:
- energy development;
- gender policy in educational institutions;
- revision of the rules for mandatory vaccination of the population;
- other promises made during the election campaign, and, as it turned out, bypassing the “legislative apparatus of Congress.”
Earlier we wrote about the fact that ISW explained why the outcome of potential negotiations between Trump and Putin does not guarantee stable peace for Ukraine.
