Some time ago, Ukrainian troops began the second stage of the offensive in the Kursk region, eventually advancing near a number of settlements adjacent to the key “salient.”

As reported by “NBN” with reference to analytical material from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the day before, on January 15, the “second army of the world” attempted to continue the counteroffensive operation in the area of the “Ukrainian bridgehead” in the Kursk region, but was still unable to advance.
According to information from an unspecified Russian “war correspondent”, Putin's troops failed to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions and finally capture Makhnovka (south of Sudzha), despite the fact that another “mouthpiece of the Kremlin” assured that the “liberators” would capture the said settlement in the short term.
In addition, Putin's army is “bogged down” in fierce battles that continue near Kruglenkoye, Nikolaevka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Cherkasskoye Porechye, Pogrebki, Staraya Sorochina, Novaya Sorochina and the above-described Makhnovka (active military operations were conducted during the period from January 14 to January 15).
