As NBN reports with reference to Marca material, Portugal national team striker Cristiano Ronaldo was persuaded not to leave Al-Nasr, convincing the 40-year-old player to stay with the team (his contract with the Saudis expires in the summer of 2025).
As it became known, Al-Nasr management motivated Ronaldo financially, offering to become a co-owner of the team upon signing a new agreement for one year, for which Cristiano will receive 5 percent of the club's share. Also, within the framework of such an agreement, the Portuguese is guaranteed to be paid 183 million euros per season, which is the highest salary among football players in the world.
In addition to all of the above, Ronaldo will be allowed to influence the team's commercial policy, and this will probably be noticeable during the winter “transfer window”, when Al-Nasr intends to “lure” several promising players.
