The Ukrainian leader said in an interview with Polish media that there is a chance to end the war with the Russian Federation in our country this year, given that the newly elected US President Donald Trump is striving to achieve peace. Zelensky believes that the 47th head of the White House is a politician who is capable of putting pressure on Russia.
According to the guarantor, the aggressive country is afraid of the United States, China and a united Europe, the NBN publication reports.
The President recalled that without the Ukrainian army, EU members today have no chance in confronting the Russian invaders, since the residents of these countries are not accustomed to war and have no experience in conducting military operations.
The head of state warned that the Kremlin dictator will very quickly come to the region and start “twisting arms”. Therefore, European countries must increase defense production by 2-3 times so that the Russian Federation knows that they have everything they need to defend themselves.
Zelensky stressed that the Russian leader must be forced to diplomacy in order to end the war. The politician is convinced that the newly elected head of the United States will be able to offer our country real security guarantees.
Also in the interview, the guarantor responded to the words of the candidate for the presidency of Poland, who “does not see” Ukraine in NATO and the EU.
