During a speech on Monday, January 20, the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed hope that Trump's return to the White House would help launch a second wave of massive right-wing political change in Europe.

The head of government believes that after the inauguration of the newly elected US president in Brussels, “even the sun will shine differently,” the NBN newspaper reports, citing Reuters.

According to him, after the Republican takes office as head of state, he will begin the “second phase of a major offensive” aimed at “occupying Brussels.”

It should be noted that Orban has previously announced his intention twice. In December 2023, on the eve of his country's presidency of the European Union, he announced his intention to “occupy Brussels.” Later in June last year, the politician repeated this call before the elections to the European Parliament.

As reported, the media wrote about concerns in the EU regarding the possibility of Trump holding talks with the head of the Russian Federation on Ukraine without the participation of the US's European allies.
